It is very important to us that our critters go to good homes. Rabbits have an average 7 year life span, and potbelly pigs average about 15, so they are a longterm commitment. Once you adopt from us, you have us as a resource any time you need advice or help. Our rabbits are fed Purina Show Rabbit Food, which we have found to be an excellent feed. Rabbits main diet should be a quality alfalfa pellet, with the addition of Timothy hay and oatmeal a couple of times a week. Treats should only be offered occasionally, and should be limited to carrot tops, parsley, cilantro, grass, and sometimes carrots, orange peels, pineapple, banana or papaya peels. They will eat almost anything, so you need to watch what you give them. Try to introduce only one new thing at a time, so you can tell if it agrees with them or not.
